Registration is open until February 18th, for the selection of participants for the Community of Practice on Tobacco Control for Tax the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS), via distance. The course is the result of a partnership between ANVISA and the National School of Public Health Sergio Arouca (ENSP), Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).
The activities will take place between February 29 and July 1 of this year and fully at a distance, through the virtual platform. The total workload is 90 hours.
The training aims to increase knowledge and promote the sharing of experiences and ways of working between professionals SNVS involved with tobacco control measures. The course, which will include educational materials and online activities, will help professionals to identify the skills needed for compliance with legislation related to tobacco control and inspection activities.
The training will be divided into five modules: tobacco epidemic in Brazil and in the world and the actions for its control; organization of the routine of inspectors to carry out tobacco control activities; monitoring and enforcement of tobacco products; bans on advertising, promotion and sponsorship; and smoke-free environments (prohibition of the use in closed collective places).
