Anvisa promoted, together with other federal agencies of registration of pesticides, Ibama and the Ministry of Agriculture, the simplification of toxicological evaluation processes for change purposes, inclusion or exclusion manufacturer of technical product. According to Article 22 Decree n. 4074/2002, the assessment of these claims must be made by federal agencies of the agricultural sector, health and the environment. However, because it is identical analysis, an operational procedure was developed, approved under the Advisory Technical Committee for Pesticides (CTA), which enables the analysis of only one of the bodies responsible for recording, avoiding overlapping activities and rework in Public administration.
Article 95 of the Decree provides that it is the Committee’s competence to harmonize technical and administrative procedures related to pesticide registration, components and the like.
Therefore, in order to internalize simplification of toxicological evaluation processes for change purposes, inclusion or exclusion manufacturer of technical products, Anvisa published the Service Guidance No. 6 / GGTOX / ANVISA, of 11 January 2016.
This new procedure avoids rework and thus bring efficiency gains for GGTOX, which can take more effectively the available workforce in other work processes.
